Our Efforts towards Disclosure of Information
Our efforts towards disclosure of information include participation in environmental exhibitions and events including the gEco-Products 2008 Exhibitionh, gExhibition for Geo-Environmental Restorationh and gIntegrated Exhibition of the Environment in celebration of the Hokkaido Toyako Summit.h In addition, we made submissions and contribution of theses to magazines, presentation at lectures, symposiums and made announcements on our website.
Towards Quality Improvement
We offer human resource education programs, training courses and study sessions to raise each employeefs awareness of being customer-oriented and to provide products and services that satisfy our customers.
Each company of the DOWA group has contact people to receive complaints and comments from the outside via email or telephone calls and educates employees to respond to them appropriately.

Annual Meeting of Shareholders

Total 339 shareholders attended our 2008 annual meeting of shareholder, an increase of 64 compared to the previous year.
At the party after the meeting, we exhibited our products to deepen our shareholderfs understanding of our products unfamiliar to them in their daily life. As part of our efforts to protect the environment, we delivered our CSR report in an eco bag that used to be put in a paper bag. We also exhibited a panel to show them the usefulness of eco bags to reduce CO2 emission.
IR activity and Communication
We strive to disclose our business information including business policies and financial data in a proper way on a timely basis, aiming at gaining trust and understanding from our customers, shareholders, investors and local communities.
We are committed to promote interactive communication with shareholders and investors through quarterly result briefings and meetings with investors in Japan and throughout the world via news releases, annual reports and IR (investor relations) activities, including information disclosure on our website. We also hold briefings actively for our shareholders and investors to disclose corporate information and ask their opinions as part of our communication efforts.
In 2008 we visited important investors in six cities in Europe and U.S.A., including London and New York, and explained the medium- and long-term strategies of DOWA. We also explained our commitment to offering environmentally-conscious products and services and also expanding our business throughout the world.
Through these communication efforts, we will reflect these invaluable comments in our business management.
